In the heart of the Tuscany, near the hilltop village of Scrofiano is the picturesque house of Casa Luisa ~ Beatrice. Casa Luisa ~ Beatrice is a private house with gardens and a luxury swimming pool surrounded by 18 hectares of land comprising mainly olive groves and vineyards stretching into the scenic Valdichiana valley below.
The house comprises a large sitting and dining room, kitchen and downstairs bathroom. On the first floor there are three double rooms and two bathrooms. There is also a large dining room and kitchen area on the first floor. Both the upstairs and downstairs accommodation have additional, 'pull out' beds, if required. The house is extremely flexible for holiday accommodation and can accommodate from 6-10 people comfortably.
The Valdichiana area is renowned for its warmth, culture, wine and food! The nearby local towns of Lucignano and Sinalunga are steeped in ancient history. The Piazza at Sinalunga houses a travelling market every Tuesday which is ideal for shopping, at which they sell whole roasted pigs, fresh fish, vegetables, leather goods, clothing, shoes - etc. There are evening festivals and dancing held in the Piazza and nearby villages throughout the summer (look out for the posters showing which villages and towns are holding the Festa's on a week to week basis) as well as classical historic events and art exhibitions taking place in the main towns. Shopping is easy with a nearby large supermarket and designer stores and if you feel like it, Sinalunga has sheltered and open tennis courts, boules and cycles for hire. There are also many swimming pools locally in the neighbouring villages, and at local restaurants and hotels. The area is famous for its hot water spas, with the nearest spa town (Rapolano Terme) about 5 kilometres drive. There is also the Crocodile Aqua Park 20 minutes drive away and various discotheques for those who are young at heart.
Both Sinalunga and the neighbouring town of Lucignano boast an array of restaurants from which to enjoy the very best of Tuscan cuisine. There are many other country restaurants to be discovered in the surrounding area.
Casa Luisa ~ Beatrice provides a beautiful, scenic, simple Italian experience whether for relaxation of exploration and is only a short distance from the historic landmarks of Siena, Cortona, Perugia, Pienza, Assisi, Arezzo, Montalcino, Montepulciano, lake Trasimeno and Mount Olivetto.
Outside the house there are magnificent views across the surrounding countryside with a garden terrace overlooking a large swimming pool (7m x 14m). The swimming pool is equipped with beach-umbrellas, deck-chairs, a gazebo for breakfast and dinners set amongst a terrace of cedars of Lebanon.
